Dominic M. Power

Dominic M. Power is a Consultant Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgeon working at the Birmingham Hand Centre in the UK. He established a regional Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury Service in 2010 following experience gained through treating combat nerve injuries through the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Birmingham and the War Nerve Injuries Clinic at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court. The nerve service treats all aspects of peripheral nerve injury and paralysis. The centre has a nerve fellowship programme, visiting fellowships and research fellow opportunities. The centre has an extensive research programme with multicentre international collaboration delivered through the Institute of Translational Medicine. Dominic has honorary academic appointments at the University of Birmingham and Aston University where he lectures and supervises BSc and MSc programmes in anatomy and neurosciences. He runs training workshops in nerve repair and nerve transfer surgery and lectures internationally on his experience in peripheral nerve surgery.
